The University of Missouri will be collecting cash donations to benefit the American Red Cross for Haiti Relief and Development at both the Women's and Men's basketball games on Saturday, Jan. 23.
A series of earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 6.5 to 7.3 devastated Haiti on Jan. 12 and the University of Missouri community is poised to help. Missouri, Nebraska and Baylor fans alike are encouraged to donate before and after the Women's basketball game against Baylor at 1 p.m. and the Men's game against Nebraska at 5 p.m. inside Mizzou Arena. Fans wishing to donate a check may do so by making their check out to the American Red Cross and specifying "Haiti Relief" in the memo space.
Fans not attending Saturday's games are encouraged to donate directly to the American Red Cross online, by calling 1-800-RED CROSS or by texting "HAITI" to 90999 ($10 will be charged to your phone bill).
