The MU Volleyball Team has been voted the "Community Service Team of the Month" for its outstanding efforts to volunteer in the Columbia area. They lead a clinic for youth volleyball players, visited patients at local hospitals and supported other Mizzou student-athletes at their "Tiger Night" competitions. Every member of the team participated in the six hours of community service so far this month. Way to go volleyball team!Mizzou Volleyball is holding our annual “Can the Huskers” canned food drive October 17th. This year we have pledged to collect double what we collected last year, a total of 1400lbs of food.
This is a huge feat and we need a lot of help. We would greatly appreciate any help that your organization can give us in reaching our goal.
We would like to have a competition between different organizations on campus with a great prize for the winners. However, in order to do this we will need to enlist the help of some volunteers to get the word out and help with collection on October 17th.
This is a great service event with all the food collected going to help those in need locally.
Please email hthqmb@mail.mizzou.edu if your organization would like to participate or is willing to get together some volunteers.
Go Tigers!
